Disable “There are unused icons on your desktop” Popup

If the Desktop Cleanup Wizard keeps annoying you with it's "There are unused icons on your desktop" popup from the system tray there is a quick way to disable this feature.

  1. Right click on any empty space on your desktop and select Properties
  2. The the Display Properties window select the Desktop tab
  3. Click on the Customize Desktop button towards the bottom
  4. Uncheck the box at the bottom that says "Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days"
  5. Click OK and your done
