Disable UAC (User Account Control) In Vista

After using Windows Vista for a couple of hours I have come to a conclusion. UAC (User Account Control) is completely and absolutely useless with it's one and only feature of being able to nag you to death. UAC is especially annoying after a fresh O/S install when you need to install all of your favorite apps. Everything you want to install needs to get a confirmation and any little modification or tweak to the O/S also requires confirmation and a password if your account has one. So now the first thing I do in any new Vista system is disable UAC. Full instructions below.
Instructions
- Click on the Start Orb and go into the Control Panel
- Under User Account and Family Settings select Add or remove user account
- Select one of the Users
- In the User Account select Go to the main User Accounts page
- Look under Make changes to your user account and select Change security settings
- Uncheck the box where it says Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer
- You will be asked to reboot in order to apply your new settings
- Reboot and enjoy your new and improved Vista O/S =]
