Change Width Of Desktop Icon Titles

If you would like to change the width of icon titles on your desktop whether it be for visual or functional purposes we've got a quick tip to help you out today. Look below, we've got instructions for both XP and Vista users.
Windows XP Users
- Right click in a blank spot anywhere on your desktop and select Properties in the menu
- Select the Appearance tab
- Click on the Advanced button
- In the item list select Icon Spacing (Horizontal)
- The default spacing is 43, you can either raise or lower the value depending on your purposes
- Click OK in the Advanced Appearance window
- Click OK in the Display Properties window
- Now Right click in a blank spot on your desktop again and select Arrange Icons By and choose whichever option you prefer to see the change
Windows Vista Users
- Right click in a blank spot anywhere on your desktop
- Select Personalize
- Select Window Color and Appearance
- Now click on Open classic appearance properties for more color options
